I had a ton of marked, unread messages in my inbox. It turns out that my monthly bills (utilities, etc.) and my big bills ended up on the same pay cycle. Not sure how that happened, but it sucked. At least my paycheck's already cleared.
Of course, it could be a lot worse, but hey, focus on the problems you have, don't worry about the ones you don't ...

This is why I have paychecks that are designated for each utility. And I pay them out of that paycheck, whether they're due yet or not. For this very reason. Because OH MY GOD I got ulcers just reading about this.
ReplyDeleteWell, I did that, or I thought I did. Now maybe this is the product of Money deciding that it would no longer get my info from USAA, so instead I do this all through Mint.com now, and this is the transition phase.
ReplyDeleteI mean, everything is monthly, right? And so is my pay cycle now. So it's just a case where some bills went past the 15th, or I could have paid them early and didn't.
I'll know for next month. I mean, it was more surprise than anything else. I had the money to pay everything ...
